Situated in the Lancashire village of Hesketh Bank, SVL Care has provided a safe and loving home for elderly members of the community for over 20 years. We pride ourselves in having excellent relationships with all our residents & their families, we are one big family.
SVL Care is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and our highly trained staff are passionate and committed about ensuring every resident in our 30 bedded home are treated as individuals, guaranteeing their care is person centred and promotes independence, dignity and respect at all times.
We accept male and female residents over the age of 65 who are frail or disabled, perhaps with sensory impairments, reduced mobility or rehabilitation needs. They can be funded privately, by the NHS or local authority and we also accept direct payments.
We understand that it is an emotional and challenging time if you’re considering residential care for yourself or a loved one and that you will have many questions you will require answering. In 2023, we pledged to make SVL a place where people choose to stay, want to work and love to visit. We are constantly working towards creating the best version possible of SVL Care through the hard work of our Management and Staff. About
Our 30 bed home has two lounges, a conservatory and purpose built dining room where meals are prepared freshly every day by our SVL chef. Many of the rooms look onto the spacious, secure gardens which have raised allotments, greenhouses, a pond and a walkway.
Our highly trained care team are all DBS checked and the company is registered with Investors in People. All staff undertake continuous training programmes, both in-house and through e-learning, and their ability to do the job is regularly tested through a competency verification system.
We have also invested in the latest IT technology that allows staff to check residents’ care plans on their tablets at the touch of a screen. This reduces time-consuming paperwork, so they can focus even more on the residents’ needs.
Our aim is that all our residents at SVL Care have a sense of belonging and safety, and feel they live in a place where people really matter.
